Dogs barking for no apparent reason. How nice.
Last night, we pulled out a cookbook by the head judge of Top Chef, and tried his roasted chicken. It didn't fully cook, so I had to fudge it a bit, but it tasted pretty good, with fresh herbs from our garden stuffing the bird's interior.
We ended the evening by streaming from Netflix an episode of Around the World with Orson Wells, apparently a BBC production. This first one was done in Basque country, basically the French Basque territory, and was done in the 50s. Black and white. Interesting, and clearly Wells was enjoying himself. I'm planning to keep watching them, through the series.
