Yesterday, I finished a small book by Warren Ellis called Do Anything. : Thoughts on Comics and Things. I found it rather disjoint. The early part of it dealt with people about whom I knew nothing; after 1970 in it, I recognized much. I didn't realize how much younger than I he is; I thought we were closer in age.

At the suggestion of one of my readers, I went back to Bullitt, and finished it, and I have to say that I wonder why I bothered. Yawn. How can a chase scene be boring??? And then they proudly show for an interminable period the height of 60s technology, what H. S. Thompson called a "mojo wire". There was no characterization that I could tell, and damn little conversation. Not recommended.
