We had services, being that last night was Friday night, and the folks who were mourning were there. Everyone admitted being a bit tapped out what with having religious services nightly the last several. Even so, the community support for the mourners was palpable.
In other news, a few blocks away, a frozen yogurt place has been under construction for about a year, and we've passed it many times wondering if it would ever open. Yesterday, on my way home from work, I noticed a big banner announcing that it was open for business, and so we stopped for some on the way home from services. We chatted with the owner who told us that it took so long because of the repeated interference by the city. They weren't overwhelmingly busy, but for a place just opened, there was a constant flow, so I suspect that they're going to do just fine, especially as there's no other ice cream shop or yogurt place anywhere close by. Oh, and the mango flavor was terrific.
