I finished Samurai 7 tonight, and it finished, more or less, the same way that The Seven Samurai finished. In a way, it was unsatisfactory, due to the number of primary characters who were left unhappy, but it was "realistic", as much as any anime is realistic. Still, I liked the series. Maybe next time I'll listen to it in Japanese with English subtitles, because I usually find the English-speaking parts rather irritating.
