Late last night (early this morning) I finished reading another M.A.R. Barker novel of Tekumel, his gaming world, called A Death of Kings. It deals with the same characters from a novel I read earlier this year, and once again, it reads like an adventure log. Not bad, some interesting ideas expressed, but in the end, imperfect. I think I have one more novel of his in my TBR stack.
After work, I got home and helped forestcats load a program on her laptop that helps plan quilts, so hopefully she'll find that useful. I then zoned out on the couch for a while, and then we finished watching season three of Dexter, which I found mildly disappointing. Dinner was reindeer hot dogs; I'm not entirely sure where they came from, but I think that they're imported from Alaska. While forestcats made spectacularly delicious strawberry jam to put up, I watched a disc of season four of ST:DS9 which was mostly fair, not great.
And I should be getting ready for work, right about now, so I'll truncate this message...
