This morning, I finished reading Mike Resnick's new story collection, Blasphemy. There's five short stories or so, and two of his early novels that were only published in pb, IIRC, Walpurgis III, and The Branch. I've read the latter two before, while the short stories were new to me. Worth a look, especially if you've liked his work before.

I also dumped a library book, yesterday, called The Zookeeper's Wife, a purportedly non-fiction book about the people who hid Jews and a resistance organization in WWII Poland. I say purportedly not because it didn't happen, but because too much of the first chapter spent time guessing what the protagonists were thinking. That's what turned me off the book.
