I got home relatively early, though I suppose, not really early, yesterday. I have swarms of housecalls the next two days.

Once home, I fed myself something that my mother would have made, more or less, and then watched an episode of Jeremiah which was too heavy handed, and then when forestcats got home from her quilt guild meeting, we watched the last two episodes of Monty Python: Almost the Truth: Lawyer's Cut which covered the Hollywood Bowl show, Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life, as well as a bit about what they've done since (like, say, Spamalot). It's been an interesting view of their history and background, very well done. Worth seeing.

Your dinner description is deeply ambiguous. What would your mother have made?

Mom used to make us cream tuna on toast for lunch during Wisconsin winters. I made something of a variation on that:

One can of Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup
One can of creamed corn
One can of tuna

Two slices of toast.

Pour all three cans into a saucepan and heat thoroughly, stirring often to keep it all from burning.

Toast the bread.

Pour the saucepan contents over the bread.

Eat.

Filling and warming.

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco...
