Over the years, I've had a number of US military folks as patients. I used to give them the opportunity to talk about their service to the US in the past, but some people aren't able to discuss their time in the service, and others don't want to, so I don't do that anymore.

Nowadays, I just say to them, "Thank you for your service."

It seems to do just fine.

On this Veteran's Day, to any and all former members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America who might read this blog, thank you for your service.

For those of you overseas who may have served in your own nations military forces, I'm sure that your own peoples feel the same.
