Yesterday, I rushed out of the house rather early, and finished up my rounds, so that I could get home at an early hour. We had plans, you see. Our friend, Randy, who used to be the front man for a rock band had a gig last night at the Burbank Bar & Grille. We'd never been there (the venue is on a street that's totally swamped with restaurants!), but we went out there specifically to see Randy rock out. The bar is poorly set up for folks to watch the band, so they have many TV screens all hooked up to a closed-circuit television system, so that pretty much wherever you sit, you can watch a screen showing the band. My spouse was seated in a spot where she could see the band, live, but what with folks standing at the bar, they blocked my view of the stage. Nonetheless, Randy and his buddies (band is called Rushin' Draggin') did a great job of rocking, and Randy has incredible range in his singing. (Example: I can't believe that he actually sang that Blind Faith tune; I think it's called Can't Find My Way Home.) He was still singing when we left, since I had a full day's work ahead of me...
