Such a day.

Dishes. Lots of those. That took up some of the morning and into the afternoon.

Some computer work. Fiddling with iTunes when I don't really know much about the program is irritating.

Then we marched through two Netflix discs (Carnivale season one, disc one, and The Pacific disc one), both of which were very good, though Carnivale was sufficiently good that I've shifted all the discs of both seasons forward to watch them all ASAP. Or at least, as fast as Netflix will allow. Too bad the series isn't available for streaming...

Then, I put on Alice in Wonderful streamed from Netflix; the one with Johnny Depp. I hadn't seen it before, though apparently forestcats had. I liked it, for the most part, and I thought that the CGI was pretty well-done.

And so to bed.

I was really psyched when I heard Tim Burton was going to do Alice in Wonderland. I was really disappointed when I found out he wasn't doing the book, but a "sequel". :P

I guess it was a "reimagined" Alice.

M and I thought Carnivale was amazing. I wish they'd continued it! Though do like Johnny Depp, and I love Helena B-C, I didn't like Alice in Wonderland. Feels to me as if they should have called it "Alice and the Mad Hatter Ham It Up for the Depp Fans." But then, I really, really, really love the books.

Re: Carnivale

I thought that they did a pretty good job of dealing with the madness of it all. I don't mind Depp all that much; I like him in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, for example, and I didn't have too much trouble enjoying the film on that basis.

Exactly. The Mad Hatter is supposed to be insane. His compatriots are, too. It all seemed to fit to me.

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco...
