So, earlier this week we had a pleasant opportunity to enjoy the initial disc of Carnivale, and having enjoyed it very much, I moved all the discs up to the top of the Netflix queue. No problem.
All of the discs were shipped at the same time, so we were expecting them yesterday.
When I got to the mailbox, there were two discs in their mailers, and the torn-off piece of one mailer.
Announcing this fact to my wife, she stated that with our luck, the missing disc would be the second disc of the series. She was right.
Unfortunately, the website wouldn't accept that the disc was missing, and wouldn't allow me to order it afresh for at least two days.
This morning, the website reported that the disc had been returned by US Mail, and they were sending us the next disc from the queue; in addition, it wouldn't allow me to reorder the missing disc.
The website has a toll-free phone number to a real human, and the Netflix representative heard me out, understood my frustration, and arranged for the missing disc to be shipped out tomorrow, above and beyond our typical limit of three. Now, that's service!
