Christmas morning, I got a phone call from the fiancee of a former actor from the Dungeonmaster troop, Jim Partlow. Apparently he had taken a fall that night that led to his demise. Although he'd been one of the senior members (in age) of the cast, it was still something of a shock to hear that he'd passed. He had participated as an audience member before joining the cast, and did a sufficiently fine job that his character Sarky had made Guardian of the Flame, before he joined up. I also recall that he was one of the first opening acts the show used, wherein he did his own magic tricks. We waited to announce this to avoid spoiling the holiday for other members of the cast who remember him.

*Raises a glass in honor*.
