Today, we took a trip into the San Fernando Valley, first to see my sister and her family, where we returned the quilts to the kids, and then we went to my Mom's to help her with a few things she needed done around the house.

We finished the evening with a film about Australian history, called Rabbit-Proof Fence, which was very nicely done. It deals with how the Australian government dealt with "half-castes" in the beginning of the 20th Century.

M and I watched that some years ago. Very good, very sad film. Brannagh portrayed very well a man who is convinced of the absolute correctness of his historically informed but inhumane ideas of moral action. I'll never watch it again. too sad.
