I'm not watching any more Farscape.
Last nights episode was the ET one and I still don't care for any of the characters. Rygil the >100 cycle old puppet could work was a character leap? The prior episode about being doped up slaves still didn't make me feel that these different races tossed in together were going to address anything important or do it different enough to care.
I'd really like it if I could only appreciate the protagonist. I'm sick of his attitude. I just don't like him. And that's that.
I've tried before, years ago, and I watched the first two episodes on friends' recommendations, and didn't care for it. But I realized that friends had recommended Babylon 5, which I'd given up on episode one, and then there was Firefly which a number of my friends recommended when it was on TV, and I didn't see any of it until just a couple of months before Serenity came out. So, I tried Farscape again, and I found that even after the six or seven episodes, I still didn't like it. I don't like the human protagonist, and the aliens are almost all too one-dimensional. So, no more time wasted on it. I'll move on to something else.

I managed season 1, but that was it.
I keep hating the fact that what looks like a good sci-fi show isn't... seriously do those people have no idea how to properly run a dramatic series?
By the time they got to the middle of season 2, sure.
Every show has its growing pains. Some more than others.
I'm not willing to invest any more time to it. I have lots and lots of other things to do, instead.
I'm not willing to go any farther on season one. I gather that they didn't have to properly run anything, since this went on for several seasons.

It was more an overall critique of the scifi genre, in line with what you pointed out in a comment above.
I hate the trite moralizing more than anything else (I'm looking at you Stargate-SG), but the whole genre... ick.
I'm rather fond of good SF. Too bad it's hard to find...

When it was first showing some of my friends would rave about it. I'd watch it, and I just wouldn't get it. What, exactly, did they like so much?
I occasionally watched an episode as it continued. I never really bought into it, though.
Ah well, like with wines, it's just a matter of taste.
It's not for everyone. However, it's a very good show if you enjoy seeing what amounts to a bunch of player characters wearing the dark sunglasses going "Oh hey, we don't have to play like we have alignment." That may not be an explanation that works for you, and if you've tried twice I think that's more than sufficient of course.
I only wish that I'd found it fun to watch, but I haven't. I think I can feel comfortable that I gave it a solid try.
