Once home, last night, I got a lot of backing up of my hard drive done, nice enough, and then forestcats and I tried to watch some movies streaming off Netflix, but the two we picked we dumped quickly. First was The Importance of Being Earnest, and the second was Play the Game. In the end, I cleared out some chaff from the DVR, and she snoozed.

I picked up and read one comic book. This was Fables #101, where we were taken back to a thread that they've left alone for a very long time. The saga is about the personifications of a number of stories, who hid out on Earth to avoid the advance of an Emperor who was taking over the entire universe of stories. The series is engaging with very good characterizations. It's worth taking a look at the trade paperback collections, for anyone who hasn't already seen them.

I do like Fables -- but I only buy trades. Otherwise, they take up too much space... and M will realize how many I have!

There's a couple of series that I only buy the tpb versions...Air comes to mind, for example. Usagi Yojimbo is another.

Oh, it was a much more modern piece; in color. Might have been from the 90s, but I'm not sure.

A good "Ernest" is a wonderful thing... IF one likes comedies of manners. Which I do.
