Yesterday opened after a long stint at my computer by us going to the Verizon shop and getting a pair of iPhones for the two of us. Once home I booted up iTunes, and downloaded over a dozen free apps, including four that are medically relevant. I'm not ready yet to pay for any apps until I do more research, but these free ones are pretty solid so far.
Then it was off in the rain to Dungeonmaster. We made it in good time, with only one accident causing a two-mile backup, and worked around the rain. The show was the first in a long time in which the party of audience adventurers were wiped out, but that can be attributed to their profligate use of spells, leaving them nothing to use in the end scene. Pity.
Now, for the work week!
If you want free (or uber cheap) app recommendations....give me general categories and I can list out things I use in that category....
If you have any hope of retaining your sanity, avoid Angry Birds and Plants V. Zombies. Pocket God too.
Someone else recommended Angry Birds to me just a half hour ago, but I think that one isn't free, so it isn't likely I'll be getting it.
I'll keep that in mind, thanks. So far, I haven't the time to go looking since yesterday's perusal. iTunes really didn't show nearly as many of the apps as I suspect that exist, honestly, so I expect to have to do a lot of searching, studying, or monitoring of discussion groups if I don't have friends to make recommendations.
Welcome to the cult of iPhone. I've had mine for about a year and would rather leave my glass behind.
I'd rather be an Android than sheep...
I highly recommend paying for Angry Birds if you want a game to play.
And if I don't?
If anything, I'd look for a solitaire game for when I have to while away a few minutes. We'll see.
