I got out of the office much earlier than usual, and so I was home after the housecall, hospital and nursing homes much earlier than I'd expected. forestcats didn't attend her quilt club, and so we hung out, finished the ST:DS9 disc, and then while she sewed, I put on Mars Attacks! via streaming from Netflix. I'd never seen the film. It tried to be black humor and campy, but it was too overdone for my taste.
Mars Attacks wasn't nearly as bas as The Stuff, which had the right plot elements but put them together all wrong, and even stuck in a deus ex machina. Well, some of the wrong plot elements, too: but when you can visibly see what they could he done right with it, but did not bother to do so..... At least the former had a few, if small, redeeming qualities.
No problem. You could have edited it, no? Still, no big deal.
No, actually. Yuo can't edit comments on LiveJournal. It's either "delete" or "track", there's no option to edit.
That's okay. Sometimes I look for the "edit" button, too, but they still haven't added an edit function, except for the main post, rather than comments. The main post has always had that edit key.
Yes, that's the item I was thinking of.
I thought so. :) It would be nice if the responses did too, but alas, that's not the case here on LiveJournal. Still, it's a great place, regardless.
I'm not sure I've ever heard of The Stuff...so I have no knowledge of a worse film.
Mars Attacks! is possibly the worst film I've actually watched all the way through for years. It sounds like The Stuff would be one I'd turn off and send back!
It was like a cross between Beverly Hillbillies and The Blob, if you can believe it. A real train wreck, but it would have been so much fun to pull an MST3k on!
