Day two of 56 of beagle incarceration went fairly well. She still is wearing her Queen Elizabeth costume to protect the wound. She still looks accusingly at us. But she's not barking or howling. We are keeping her close to us most of the time, so she isn't feeling abandoned. Poor brushette.
She's a lampshade puppy! If you just convince her that it's a gigantic food-funnel, she might not complain as much...
I have been shovelling food in there, but she's still not convinced.
A friend had two shepherds, sisters. Ada and Ursula. Ada was sharp, Ursie was a bit.. gregarious and shallow. Ursie broke into the dog food one night.. by the time my friends discovered it, she'd eaten about 1/3 of a 40-lb bag. There was a noticeable bulge in her middle, like she'd swallowed a basketball.
She didn't eat for 3 or 4 days after that. lol.
has done that, now and again, when she's managed to get into one thing or another. Rarely, she lay around looking uncomfortable and round, but usually she has the same appetite a few hours later.
The icon is a photograph of a different beagle we used to have, who got her head stuck in a feeder bottle of cat food.
that icon is a crack-up.. lol.. poor pup!
had to get the camera while laughing before she helped the dog escape.
