We finished watching the initial episode of Game of Thrones that we somehow managed to DVR before HBO shut off the freebies, and I can see watching it when it comes out on DVD, but I'm not planning on adding HBO to our cable bill. Nice try, though.

I managed to find time to read a couple of comic books. First was DMZ #64 - I think they're planning on building to a climax, and then stopping the series. I'm not sure I'm with them for this climax, but I won't stop reading them quite yet. Second was Fables #104 - I sort of feel that they've painted themselves into a corner, and I'm not sure why. I'm also not sure that they'll be able to hold my attention for much longer.

forestcats and I, since we won't be having our Carnivore's Feast as early as usual, have volunteered for the Grilled Cheese Invitational. It can be a lot of fun to volunteer to help out at things, and we've been up against this event for the last several years, and it would be nice to experience it for a change. Will we see anyone there?

I really liked the first episode of Game of Thrones too. You could probably find it online if you wanted to, people usually post shows like that up on streaming sites, torrent sites, and sometimes youtube.

Fables is a good one. I read the first 20 issues or so, then stopped for no particular reason. I'm in the middle of The Walking Dead comics right now, and those are pretty good so far.

I'm willing to wait for the discs.

I've liked Fables in the past, but I think they've run too long.
