It's always enjoyable when the mailman breaks your mailbox; I repaired it, but still!

Meat is defrosting hither and yon. forestcats has made an enormous container of her steak rub. We just need some more cracked black pepper to finish it off.

I have to wash down this and that, and I'll go out on an ice-buying expedition early tomorrow.

I particularly love when I run into my mailman at our local watering hole and he tells me in detail what to expect in the mail. "Oh, you got your cooking magazine, your AT&T bill, and a letter from your grandmother. And another letter from your college wanting you to be a board member."

I'm sure this probably counts as stalking, but at least he hasn't managed to break my mailbox. Yet.

He must have been very angry, the way he shoved things into the mailbox; tore it right out of its mountings.

How DOES a mailman break a mailbox, anyway? What the heck? Or did I miss something? (I haven't been on LJ much this week.)

I received a package with two books shipped from England, and it didn't really fit. He shoved it in anyway, by main force, and ripped the box off its mountings.

I saw the postman today as I was pulling out. He smiled and waved. Talk about giving me the creeps...
