I got home rather early, yesterday, and I had time to commune with 
brushette before forestcats and I went out to watch our friend Randy and his band Rushin' Dragon play a number of covers at the Burbank Bar & Grill. The music was good, the food was good, the service sucked. I can't recall ever going to a bar where the waitress appeared to have no interest in pushing drinks on us. To top it off, she automatically charged us 18% tip...I've never seen that before. Still, it was a good evening, hanging out with Tawnya and themodeinliz while we enjoyed the band. I'd do it again...and probably will, if I'm not on call when the band plays next.
