I'm very disappointed with CostCo.

Once upon a time, their outside cafe would serve a Hebrew National hot dog and a drink for a buck and a half, which I thought was a pretty good price for a hot dog that I thought tasted pretty good.

Now, they've dumped Hebrew National and put in their own brand.

Doesn't taste very good. For that matter, they've changed the buns...too small, and taste stale.

Your cafe loses a customer in me, CostCo. Too bad.

I've checked before, and there is one of the kosher markings on the hot dogs. If you were Orthodox, though, it might not have been marked with the marking that your rabbi accepted.

No, I remember very clearly that there were no kashrut markings on Hebrew National at all.

Remember that this was like, thirty years ago, however!

I just served 21 Hebrew National hot dogs to our religious group, and every package had a triangle with a K in it. Last I heard, that was a Kosher indicator, not "kosher-style".

Are you sure you're not thinking of Nathan's?

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco...
