I know that forestcats wanted me to go with her to Ground Control, last night, but it turned out that I didn't have today off work, and I didn't think it was a good idea for me to be up that late. More on that, later.

So, while she was off, I streamed a number of things, most of which I didn't think she'd like (note: not all, just most).

I started with Ronin, which isn't about Japan. It's about mercenaries and illegal activities in the post-Cold War world. Fair.

Then, Skyline, basically a horror film in an SF milieu. Ew. I dropped it after about fifteen minutes.

Then, a documentary, The Story of Will Rogers, narrated by Bob Hope. Pretty good.

It turns out that my wife's truck's transmission jammed up on her, and it looked like she was going to need me to pick her up, after she got a tow to our mechanic's shop, so I stayed up until 2AM. In the end, AAA managed to sufficiently unjam the gearstick so that she could drive, and so she got home without me picking her up. Oh, well, it's just sleep...

I love you to distraction and after nearly 30 years communication will forever be something needing work. That and my inability to put things back where they belong. AND my ability to lose things in front of me...

I'm off to Al's now. Wish me luck!

Ouch! She was mentioning to me that her truck might have troubles that night... Glad she got home safe, and you didn't have to venture into LA.

Oh, she would have had AAA tow it. We got extended coverage for that very reason. However, I was very glad she got home all right.

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco...
