After a day of bits and pieces (for example, gave up on reading Edible Stories by Mark Kurlansky - even though I like his non-fiction works, I don't like his fiction, and this was a collection of fiction), we drove to Palos Verdes for a rather fun wedding. To begin with, en route, axelicious called me from their car, asking if we were already there. Turns out we were only a car or two ahead of them in tough traffic. Soon, we arrived, to discover that the wedding was at 7PM, but that drinks and nibbles were at 6, so we were right on time! Justina and David got married, with processional music played on ocarinas by friends (The Legend of Zelda theme music!), and they had non-traditional vows. When they exchanged rings, they each said something like: "It's dangerous out there alone. Take this!" After the reception, which served a variety of dishes that were made by a variety of their friends, forestcats and I helped out in the kitchen with the clean-up. It was a lot of fun. Lots of LJ folks were there; there's photos and videos galore of the festivities over on Facebook...
