Saturday night it was the Netflix disc of Thor. I don't know what people expected, but I found it amusing, and liked it well enough. I did enjoy the cameos of JMS and Stan Lee in the film, though honestly, forestcats recognized JMS before I did, since he wasn't wearing glasses.
Sunday night was our opportunity to watch Terry Pratchett's novel as a live action movie; we finally sat down with Going Postal. I like very much what The Mob (the production company) does with his novels; this is the third that they've done, with another in production, I gather.
That clears out the Netflix stack, as well as our limited purchases, for now, though tomorrow, I expect to buy the latest of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, that we never got a chance to see.
On a grimmer note, our friend Tom is going to be arriving in the area in a few hours. He has to deal with the recent demise of his cousin, who has no other surviving relatives. It's a sadness, and we will do what we can to be helpful to our friend.
