Courses continue at the convention.

In the free time being away from home gives us, forestcats and I went on a little adventure. We found an item here, and a thingy there, and picked them up. It was very sweet being able to hang with her all day.

Fairly early (right around five PM), we stopped at a restaurant, part of a chain that we both liked from Chicago, called Giordano's. It's a pizza place, and when I was in medical school, Chicago Magazine wrote that it was the best pizza in the city, only a week after I'd been first introduced to the place by a classmate. Soon thereafter, there were many places selling stuffed pizza, some better, a few worse; Giordano's hung in there, and opened up a string of restaurants. We found that this one is staffed by a bunch of folks who moved here from Chicago, and the pizza was very good. Too bad nobody'd moved to, say, Rancho Cucamonga! We did discover that the Giordano's chain is in the middle of a bankruptcy proceeding, so I hope that they stay open while they reorganize...

Before we left, I'd stopped at the comic shop that carries my pull list, and found that I'd missed a title that had come out in February; #3 of 4 of Captain Swing and the Electrical Pirates of Cindery Island by Warren Ellis. Now, #4 had been released, and the shop was out of #3. We found a copy here in Orlando, and I read it last night, but the final issue is sitting at home, waiting for my return. Soon...
