We started with Friday night services with our group. Each family brought their own candelabra (called a Hanukkiah, special for the holiday), and we all lit them together, followed by a pair of Sabbath candles. It was a lovely time, and the house didn't burn down.
We cleaned, my wife cooked, and then did the finishing touches on a quilt for sekl and family. Unfortunately the elder male of the family couldn't attend due to illness, but the boys and Mom did, and we had a lovely lunch, and spoiled the kids a bit.
I've been doing some laundry since, but when the evening came on, we pulled out the disc of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides which we still hadn't watched. Not bad; better than the last two, I think, but not as good as the first one.
