We had a visit from the Flors, last evening, as they settled back home from the holiday in Palm Springs, but otherwise it was a day at home. Rather restful. As our friends brought their granddaughter, we put on Netflix's disc of Cars 2, which wasn't very good, I'm afraid.

Although I did a bit of laundry, it was mostly a lazy day. I read so much that the ebook actually fully discharged the battery, something that I've never managed before. I think it ran out after about seven hours of use, though I wasn't paying all that much attention to it to know for certain.

I chose to stop reading 1862, an alternate history novel that leads from Britain getting involved in our Civil War on the side of the Confederacy; I just couldn't see it, and the Civil War has never been my favorite period of history.

Sometime this weekend, I also read this week's comic book, Fables #112, oddly enough it was a Christmas issue. Surprise, surprise! It was a little less disjoint than the most recent books have been.
