My spouse and our guest joined me last night in a foray into Los Angeles, where we sought the Hammer Improv group, which includes three of the stars of The Guild at Cafe Club Fais Do-do. They were preceded onstage by the Lost Moon Radio Show, which was rather amusing, including a rap song that they gave away free via the Web, giving a book report on Jane Austen. Then the Improv group came on, and it was very funny. I'll have to keep my ear to the ground about this group for future shows.

We then drove rince1wind down the Sunset Strip for her edification, and continuing on Sunset, drove onto the UCLA campus, so that I could swell up with pride, while she fell asleep in the back seat. Then, home.

Curiousity.

Why do you swell up with pride on the UCLA campus? Alma Mater? Or your father (etc) was the architect? Or -- really tricky to drive to?

Not as such.

For that matter, I wouldn't have been Flounder. But that's not a story for LJ.

It's my alma mater. UCLA undergraduate, class of '77, graduated as Chancellor's Marshall, one of several.

I will nod with sagacity, as if I knew what a Chancellor's Marshall is.
