I no longer can argue that LJ has been unaffected by the disruptions of the last year or so. I used to have over 600 messages to plow through daily, what with one thing or another, but now it's only about half that, and most are from RSS feeds, so they aren't even generated here. Where are all you people?

Facebook and Google+. I found myself not doing much on LJ because I took a new job at a remote camp in AK, and the dorm net(we live on site, 2 weeks on/1 week off) is so abysmally slow that LJ will take upwards of 10 minutes to refresh a page. At those speeds it makes you not want to even bother.

We'll see what its like come summer when I finish the network upgrades though, a T1 for 400 people doesn't cut it these days.

I'm in both places; FB takes too much of my time, IMHO. G+ doesn't seem to excite me all that much.
