I no longer can argue that LJ has been unaffected by the disruptions of the last year or so. I used to have over 600 messages to plow through daily, what with one thing or another, but now it's only about half that, and most are from RSS feeds, so they aren't even generated here. Where are all you people?

For the last almost 10 years I have posted here, longer or shorter, at least once a day and have missed very few days. It is my diary of sorts and I still do so because something is missing when I don't.
I have renewed my friend's list somewhat and now can barely keep up with all the posts. Some days *are* slower, though...like Friday nights and some weekends.I guess there us life outside of LJ as well.

People get lazy, also. Facebook is just too easy. Throw a sound byte out and you're done. I'm there but this where I feel best.

I gather that when I shift these posts to FB, they appear wordy and excessive; that would be in comparison to most posts there.
