After several days of lugging the book around, I finished reading Cheesemonger: A Life on the Wedge by Gordon Edgar. Honestly, I found this very readable; I'd have finished it much faster, but I carry it with me around at work, and work has been very busy.
The author talks about his political philosophy, what to look for in cheese, life in SF, personalities in the cheese world and amongst his customers, and a number of other topics. It's informative, and written in a very accessible manner. Good book.
