As I mentioned elsewhere, I was on call last weekend, and so I couldn't go be a statistic in favor of The Avengers in its opening weekend. However, my spouse and I went straight to one of the better local theaters as quickly as I could get home, last night. We stopped for a quick bite at Alberto's, and then the show.

I'm not a spoiler kind of guy, and I don't read much in the way of superhero comics, but I was looking forward to the film due to its director, Joss Whedon, and I definitely saw the character development in this work. All the major players got a bit of time to show what they were made of, and it worked, and worked well. Nice work indeed...
