We open with a few chores around the house, and then we got out early to get to brunch in Pasadena. My sister the artist made reservations for the family to get together at the Parkway Grill. Let me say here and now that it was an inspired choice. We were seated quickly; in fact, we arrived at exactly the same time and Mom who was driven in by my sister the lawyer and her family. This was terrific timing. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. I believe the two mothers at the table had a fine time of it.
We then returned home before the evening's work at the show. I promptly fell asleep for two hours, instead of continuing to do laundry. I am a slug. Once conscious, I read one of this week's comics, Fairest #3, which I'm finding I'm enjoying more than Fables from which it's a spin-off.
Subsequently, we drove to Dungeonmaster. Last night's episode finishes the show's season until autumn; it was a Guardian of the Flame adventure. Unfortunately, none of the candidates were able to defeat the challenges, and so there were no new guardians.
While at the show, there was a silent auction of various services and items to benefit a member of the cast who'd been burglarized while moving, losing a lot of valuable items. It raised several hundred dollars to help defray replacement costs, so bravo the crowd!
After the show, there was a cast party at Dillon's Irish Bar & Grill at Hollywood & Vine; $3 beers attracted the attention of the actors, and the food was very good.
Now, onto the upcoming week...
