 | 03:00 pm Work was busy, yesterday, but I got everything done that I was supposed to.
After dinner, I put on a couple of Netflix discs.
First we tried Happy Feet Two, and rapidly dumped it. Ick.
Second, I put on disc one, season one of Treme. Now THIS is QUALITY. I should expect no less from an HBO series. Honestly.
It deals with New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina, looking at several families/individuals and how they coped with the disruptions. However, more than anything else, these first episodes deal with the music and culture of NOLA. I can't wait for the next disc to arrive.

I liked Happy Feet Two. The krill were the best part. Then I'm also partial to Penguins. Sorry, but I just couldn't get into it. I have to admit, though, that the artwork was beautiful.
No tv show or movie can really encompass what it is to live in New Orleans, much less what it was to live here after the storm. But I will say that Treme does a better job than I have ever seen and a better job than I had ever expected. I can certainly understand that. |
