I did put on the TV, essentially all day, running various Olympic sports feeds. NBC is running the events on something on the order of five channels as well as online and app feeds where you can watch whatever you like, untruncated, and so there's a vast amount of visual data out there. Being that we are Olympic junkies, it was delightful.
In the meantime, I got several loads of laundry done, and I finished an essay for my second class online. I posted it on LJ yesterday, so if you want to see it, look up my posts for the 29th. I also graded several essays of my classmates for the World Music class; out of five, three were nearly unreadable, one was excellent, and one was very good.
I also got a fair amount of reading done on this week's books for the F&SF class; it's Lewis Carroll (sp?), and though I've read both books before, I'm trying to re-read with a somewhat more critical eye. Some scenes didn't register when I was younger, but did now, so that was interesting.
Following the instructions on the package, my beloved tried to make some couscous, but it burned, and so we went out for some quick Indian food in Claremont Village. Food was tasty, but service was poor, which is too bad. I'm not sure how I feel about that...
I'm back on call again, and I must be off for the day's work: nursing homes, hospitals, sub-acute unit await me.
