Once forestcats decompressed: got her shoes off and crashed on the couch, I put on via Netflix streaming The Secret of Kells. It's a spectacular animated item with an art style heavily influenced by Celtic themes. I very much liked it.

Then a bit of Treme before we headed to bed.

I also discovered a weird bit of news. Back in the 80s, an author named William Manchester started publishing a multi-volume biography of Winston Churchill. I'd read such good reviews of it that I read the first book and relished it. Then, several years later, the second book of the saga turned up, dealing with everything from volume one until the beginning of WWII. It's been nearly a quarter of a century since then, and the next volume hadn't appeared. I figured that the author had died, and it turns out I'm correct on that, in 2004. However, apparently last month the last volume was released to little or no fanfare, and is now for sale, completed by another man. I have my work cut out for me, looking around to see if anyplace local has a copy...
