We were disappointed last evening when we were about to put on a Netflix DVD of Downton Abbey season two; even though it's brand new, it had cracked all the way through in the mail and was unplayable. Netflix says via website that they'll be mailing out a replacement on Monday. I know that that sort of damage isn't their fault. Still, it's a pity that so many of the discs that I want to see aren't available via streaming yet. Hopefully, someday soon, Netflix will be able to negotiate for more streaming pieces for their library.
Instead of the former disc, I did then stream online a documentary called Buck, something of a biography about a cowboy/roper/horse trainer. Well-shot, well-done. It delighted forestcats.
I spent a fair amount of time yesterday, once home, online pursuing a variety of books, music and videos. For example, I found on Youtube a piece called The Darth Vader Psychic Hotline about which I'd heard something several years back. It was fun. I found a pile of papers of things that I'd copied down back when I had a Mac LC computer; printed it out, forgotten for some years. I managed to search out quite a bit, but some things I still couldn't find online; perhaps it's time to quit?
Today, I'll be missing out on visiting a deli that thechaim42 introduced us to; apparently as of tomorrow, they lose their lease and will be closing. It almost makes me want to do a road trip around the LA area and take in some of the other delis that I've never tried...
