Last week, I had a relatively new patient (second visit, actually), who on his first visit couldn't tell me all of his medicines bring all the bottles to the appointment. Nothing odd about that...until I came to the bottle that held about an ounce of vegetable matter!

So, my first exposure to California's medical marijuana...

Oh, I've had patients who've been getting the medicine elsewhere before, but this was the first time I'd run into the packaging.

I asked if he was carrying his prescription or other documentation so that if stopped for any reason by the police he would avoid prosecution; he showed me the card he carries.

What a political mess!
