We were swamped, yesterday, and I for see more of the same in the upcoming weeks, since we're down to two doctors in the office. I didn't leave work until after 7PM; that's not normal for me.

Once home, we worked through the small stack of Netflix discs; some TV episodes, for starters, and then John Carter. There were moments that I enjoyed, but for the most part I could take it or leave it.

Having read the book many years ago, I never understood its popularity and I wasn't impressed with the movie. Taken as just a movie, it wasn't horrible. It just wasn't good. Trying to match it up to the book, it was a poor adaptation of an uninteresting novel.

I was a pre-teen when I read the series, so I enjoyed it, but not enough to keep copies of the books. The movie was not poor, but not very good either.
