Anyway, first was Osprey Men-At-Arms #411: Warrior Peoples of East Africa 1840 - 1900. I found it fascinating; the various tribes who tried to hold off European colonizers.
Then, Osprey Elite #182: Prussian Military Tactics 1792 – 1815, a treatise on the modification of Prussian techniques during the Napoleonic Wars. Interesting.
Next, I finished reading the latest Bernard Cornwell novel, 1356, which deals with the battle of Poitiers, along with a few other tidbits to increase the interest. It was a good read, especially the battle sequences.
Then, last night before falling asleep, I finished reading Osprey New Vanguard #188: Great Lakes Warships 1812 – 1815, and learned a few things about the differences between salt and fresh water warships. Also, I know only bits and pieces about The War of 1812, and this filled in some gaps nicely.
