I got home relatively early, yesterday, and forestcats promptly loaded us into her truck to drive over to La Puente to a food truck fiesta. There were six trucks in all, and I purchased dinner from Lomo Arigato (a Peruvian-Asian fusion dish with rice and chicken), and then dessert from Fluff Ice (IIRC the name...). The dessert was light, flavorful, but not entirely satisfying.
I anticipate a long day at work, and then another couple of hours doing nursing homes to follow.
Happy belated birthday!
There is a brick and mortar Fluff Ice over at Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park. I didn't know they had a truck too.
It's only belated in the sense that it last occurred 364 days ago...
I didn't know that. Have you tried Fluff Ice?
Oops! I thought I had missed it. Any plans for the day?
I have tried it. Better than Menchie's. I guess it is supposed to be an homage to Hawaiian shaved ice. Some students from Mark Keppel started the business after graduating from school. At least that is the story I have heard.
Plans are percolating as we type.
Interesting history, thanks!
The Birthday Ninja Strikes, Bearing Virtual Cake!
Happy birthday! Hope it's a good one.

Re: The Birthday Ninja Strikes, Bearing Virtual Cake!
Thank you! I'm sure it will be.
I read the first two of the Alex Bledsoe books you recommended. Thanks again.
Hope you're having a great day!
