forestcats returned home fairly early, yesterday, having been up at dawn to drive home from San Jose. Waiting for her, I spent much of the day dealing with loads of laundry, so I feel pretty accomplished.

In the evening, we watched Django Unchained. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found myself appreciating it. It's exagerrated, it's gory, it's appalling. But so is slavery itself. I can't say that this film ends the repercussions of slavery in US history, but the fact that it generated discussion makes it worthy in my eyes.

We're off to my sister's soon to celebrate the impending matriculation of my nephew; he's going to enter Berkeley this fall for college. More power to him! I know he'll get a fine education.

We liked Django so much, we bought the DVD.
I was going through my photo bucket folders and found a really good photo of your wife and Bru.
I surely wish I hadn't gotten a migraine that day. I would've loved to get to know you too.

It's hard to say "enjoy", but many aspects of this movie impressed me.
