Earlier today, I finished reading Worlds of Honor #6: Beginnings; it's one of the best of this series of short story collections from the Honor Harrington Universe by David Weber. About half of the stories in the collection were written by Weber, and the rest by a variety of authors. It was a very impressive mix, starting from the period before hyperdrive, and skipping forward to Honor's ancestors, into the period of the current novels in the saga, in other star systems that are affected by Weber's main character. I'm not going to say that this collections breathes new life into the long-running series, but reading it certainly sparked my interest again. A new novel by Weber should be up fairly soon for purchase. For anyone who hasn't read the Honor Harrington series, the book On Basilisk Station is available for download free from the website, http://www.baenebooks.com/chapters/0743435710/0743435710.htm
