This morning, as I was slow off the mark, I finished reading a book before leaving for work. This one was The Straw Men by Paul Doherty, one of his Brother Athelstan series of mysteries. This one was set in the Tower of London, and led to several murders of a political nature. I've read a lot of the author's works; he's done a number of mysteries set in various historical venues, and they are generally entertaining, and he's meticulous about setting a realistic scene for each era. I wouldn't start with this book, though, if interested in England during the Hundred Years War. Start with The Nightingale Gallery, the first book in this series.
