Dead Dog Cat

(no subject)

Another weekend oncall survived. Feel like a beaten torture victim, and I'm ready to collapse....yet I still need to eat something, and my creative streak is whining for a moment or two on LiveJournal.

Amidst all this, I did manage to finish reading that new Mike Resnick novel: The Return of Santiago. Very readable, very interesting, and I liked it very much. I only wish that Resnick, prolific as he is, could produce something new monthly. While I'm wishing, it'd be nice if *I* could produce something at all, let alone monthly.

Last night, off a DVD about Monty Python, I heard part of John Cleese's eulogy for Graham Chapman....and almost busted a gut, laughing. A classic piece, that.

Hope all is well for those of you bored enough to read my meanderings. Especially when the electrons have to travel to that wee island off the coast of the EU.
