Columbia launch

(no subject)

First of all, Happy New Year to those in the know.

I'm really getting sick of the hours I'm putting in, especially when I put over three hours a day in driving. I've just about had it with this job.

I just finished reading the new Elizabeth Moon novel, Trading in Danger. It follows a woman cashiered from her military academy when she returns to her family and is given command of an old trading vessel. Adventures ensue, and she comports herself very well. It was a quick and excellent read, as most of Moon's works are. Highly recommended.

If only I could finish this Robert Jordan novel (page 480 or so out of about 1000). Oy!

For some reason, Tuesday night, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy didn't show locally; I can't imagine why not. forestcats managed to tape its repeat at 2:30 PM the next afternoon, and it did "reprise" on Thursday. No explanation for the Tuesday loss.

I need to go hug a cat before going to services...have a good weekend, all.
