So, while away last weekend, I managed to finish the following books:

First of all, yet another graphic novel which I picked up while in Chicago: The Sandman Presents: Taller Tales, which is a collection of lesser stories dealing with several characters from the Sandman series of comics. Amusing, but not really very good.

Next was Aliens in America by Sandra Tsing Loh, which dealt with her family, and her feelings about them. Interesting, but A Year in Van Nuys is better.

Lastly, I finished reading The King's English by Kingsley Amis, which deals with misuses of English, primarily in the British form. He occasionally points out Americanisms, and is generally fairly funny in his writings. He did often use examples that I didn't recognize, but when I did, they tended to clarify his point well.

Multiple comics have been read by me since Chicago as well; I picked up the missing issue from The Way of the Rat, which I've now read from issue 14 - 22. Fun, and has some interesting ideas that I may yet use in my Rolemaster game. Also, I picked up The Sandman Presents: Bast #1, 2, and 3, which had an interesting viewpoint about dieties whose time has gone. A fun read, with some interesting characters.

For those of you in the Chicago area, I envy you the following things: Oberweis ice cream, Edwardo's pizza, Powell's bookstore.
