First the books:

Got a lot of books finished yesterday. I know that some folks don't find graphic novels countable, but I think that there's a lot of work that goes into these, and often the authors put in similar amounts of work that straight novel authors do.

There are three more Lone Wolf and Cub graphic novels that I managed to get done, #8, 9, and 10:Chains of Death, Echo of the Assassin, and Hostage Child. Obviously, I'm enjoying the series. I think it does a very creditable job of leaving the impressions of what life in Japan was like at the period covered, even if it is pretty graphic in its depiction of combat.

I also watched the last three episodes of Neverwhere last night. Still pretty cheesy special effects. The story is pretty cool, but to be honest, I found the novel much more engaging and engrossing than I did the TV series. Just didn't leave me with the same feeling of awe and interest.
