Once again, we start with the book:

Finished The Hangman's Hymn by Paul Doherty, another of the novels set in Chaucer's story. Well-written, and evokes a period of history often overlooked. I enjoyed it, but it'll be a while before I can scare up the next book of the series, as it hasn't been published in the US yet.

Also, earlier this year, I saw a preview of a comic upcoming by Garth Ennis called 303. The first issue came out this week, and I read it. It deals (at least, at the moment) with a confrontation between Russian and British commando teams in Afghanistan. It seems to set the stage well, and I'll be looking forward to the next book.

Over the last few nights, I've been watching a few of the early ST:TNG 2nd season episodes. To my surprise, the 4th episode had as a Special Guest Star my acquaintance, Billy Campbell. This was from soon after he left the original Dungeonmaster crew, going to Hollywood to make his fortune. He was one of the cast when DM revived in Santa Monica three years ago. It was delightful seeing him in the role, especially as it was, perhaps, typecasting. Look for the episode The Outrageous Okona... I shared it with forestcats to her evident delight.

We also watched a couple of the first season episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess, which is a favorite of my beloved wife. I'll let her make any commentary she feels is appropriate.

I'm looking forward to a week from now, at DM. We'll see how things go.

I've been cleaning out a few things from the garage, and came upon a number of items that I had saved, special. A few are now useless, and have been deep-sixed, a few would be appropriate in other's hands, so axelicious will be a likely beneficiary, most have been stored in a new place. We move on.

There have been interactions that are smoothing the disturbed waters. Wait/watch/wonder.

Soon, to SF for CME. More about this later.
